SCHOOL INCURSIONS · MELBOURNE

A REAL HUMANOID ROBOT IN YOUR SCHOOL HALL

Thirty minutes. One trained operator. A robot that walks in on its own two legs, answers your students' questions and dances before it leaves. No screens, no simulation, no video.

A REAL HUMANOID

Not a toy or a screen. A Unitree G1 or R1 that walks on two legs, balances itself and responds to voice.

OPERATOR SUPERVISED

A trained operator controls the robot for the entire visit. Students never handle it unsupervised.

FITS YOUR TIMETABLE

A tight 30 minutes built to drop into an assembly, a STEM period or a lunchtime slot.

THE SERVICE

WHAT A ROBOT INCURSION IS

We travel to your school. A trained operator brings the robot, sets up in your hall, classroom or outdoor space, and runs a structured session designed to fit your existing timetable without reshaping the day around it. It makes robotics and AI physical for students who have only ever seen them on a screen — and it links directly to STEM pathways teachers can build on afterwards.
RUN SHEET

THE 30-MINUTE SESSION

Every incursion follows the same tested sequence, so you know exactly what your students will see and how it fits your period.
0 – 3
MINUTES

GRAND ENTRANCE

The robot walks into the room unaided, greets the students by voice and waves. This is the moment the hall goes silent, then very much not silent.

3 – 12
MINUTES

LIVE CAPABILITIES DEMONSTRATION

Walking, turning and balancing. Waving, pointing and high-fives. Voice interaction with student questions. A short dance routine. Where space allows, students watch it recover its balance after a gentle push.

12 – 20
MINUTES

HOW IT WORKS & WHERE IT IS GOING

Cameras, microphones and LiDAR. Degrees of freedom and balance. The AI model behind the voice and vision. Then the real-world picture: education, aged care, manufacturing, disaster response, and the Australian jobs attached to each.

20 – 27
MINUTES

STUDENT INTERACTION & Q&A

Selected students give the robot voice commands and ask their own questions. The operator moderates so as many students as possible get a turn, rather than the same three hands.

27 – 30
MINUTES

GROUP PHOTO & CLOSE

The robot poses for a whole-group photo. Students take home a one-pager with a QR code to our Altona kids workshop, and teachers get a direct line for follow-up bookings.

QUESTIONS FROM SCHOOLS

Is this a real humanoid robot or a remote-controlled toy?

+
A full humanoid robot — a Unitree G1 or R1. It walks on two legs, balances itself, responds to voice and recovers when nudged. The same class of machine used in university robotics labs.

How much space do we need?

+
A clear, flat area of at least 4 metres by 4 metres. A hall, gym, library or larger classroom all work. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the space and we will confirm before you book.

Can students touch or interact with the robot?

+
Yes, under supervision. Selected students give voice commands and receive high-fives during the session. The operator manages all physical contact, and students never handle the robot on their own.

Which year levels is it suitable for?

+
Primary Years 3 to 6 and secondary Years 7 to 10. The explanation section is pitched to the group in front of us, so the same 30-minute format works across that range.

Do you travel to our suburb?

+
We travel to schools across all Melbourne suburbs and surrounding areas from our base in Altona. Travel is included in the session price.

Can we book more than one session on the same visit?

+
Yes, and it is usually the most cost-effective option. Running back-to-back sessions for different year levels on one visit avoids paying travel and setup twice. Mention it when booking and we will confirm timing and pricing.

How do we pay?

+
We can invoice your school against a purchase order. Confirm terms
